Lori is a pre-med student at UC Irvine who lives in Newport Beach. She is in her 2nd year of medical school and is available to tutor math and many science subjects in her city and in those surrounding it. Depending on her schedule she is sometimes available in areas within a 15 minute drive from the UC Irvine campus.

Lori's tutoring experience spans 5 yars and began in her sophmore year in college. She was a peer (student) tutor in the learning center at California State University, Fullerton, where she worked through to her graduation in 2007.

During this time she had hundreds of students for various math and science courses. While there she honed her ability for explaining those difficult concepts and got a wealth of experience helping students at the center. She also read the pamphlets on math anxiety, test anxiety, study skills, and many more and taught her pupils these skills. She tutored math from beginning algebra to advanced calculus, and had students of all ages and abilities, including many speical needs students.

Says Lori..."I was born and raised in the Laguna Beach area and moved to Newport Beach while in middle school, so I am familiar with some of the local curriculums, teachers, and text books. I'm enthusiastic and patient. I believe one of the keys to a student's success in math and science is their development of confidence and discipline, especially in cases where a student is psyched out from many months or years of struggling with a subject. It is an honor to be a part of the process of helping a student to become his or her best."
